San Jose Fire Department is proposing administrative citation fines for violations of fire safety and fire prevention provisions of the Municipal Code. These fines are only proposed fines and have not been approved by City Council and could change based upon further analysis and recommendation by Council.

Juvenile
Firesetter Intervention Program
To help reduce
the number of fires and burn injuries caused by children experimenting
with fire, the San Jose Fire Department is participating in a Juvenile
Firesetter Intervention Program.

The
Public Education staff will meet with your school, community organization
or other group to present one of several programs, including Fire
& Life Safety, community awareness, fire station tours, and
others. Download and complete the Public
Education Request form (

offices at least 21 days prior to the event.
